Church Planting

Our Vision

To reach at least 1% of the unreached 12 million people who live in the Allegheny District. That means 400 churches of 300 people. Specifically, we want to see the Allegheny District get to a growth rate of at least 10 new churches a year over the next 5 years—with growth especially by conversion to Christ (and not transferring churches).

Our Values

  • We value the strong use of systems for successful planting.
  • We value the involvement of our existing Allegheny District Evangelical Free Churches (and other like-minded ministries) in the planting process.
  • We value church plants with a clear plan for reaching lost people.
  • We value church plants who plan to reproduce more church plants.
  • We value the right chemistry and clear involvement of our church plants in our district and EFCA movement.

Our Leadership

The development of our church-planting and multiplication movement in the Allegheny District is directly overseen by Pastor Ronnie Martin and a Church Planting Team. The CP Team consists of pastors, associate pastors, lay-people and proven church-planters who understand what it will take to create a movement in our district and to see significant gospel impact.

Pastoral Placement

The scriptures and history abound with evidence that God works in His church through individuals.

Further, He equips and calls specific individuals to use their gifts of leadership in specific locations. The process God uses to match individual leaders with specific ministries is varied and miraculous. We count it a special privilege indeed whenever God chooses to use us to facilitate such a matchup.
